Kish Island Dive Sites

Diving on Kish Islands is easy and relaxed for all levels of experience.
You have the choice of fringing coral reefs, pinnacles and a shipwreck.
We regularly visit all dive sites, not just the ones at our doorstep. There are also a couple of site that are known only to us – guaranteed no other divers!
The maximum depth at most of the dive sites ranges between 8 and 10 meters. Our advanced dive sites can be deeper, up to 33 meters. Visibility changes throughout the year, averaging 10-15 + meters. On good days you can experience clear waters up to 20 meters visibility or more.
You will encounter a large variety of aquatic live on all the dive sites. Common sightings include Angel Fish, Butterfly Fish, Barracuda, Stingrays, Reef Sharks, Turtles, Groupers, Trigger Fish, Trivially, Moray Eels, Shrimps, Puffer Fish, Snappers and many, many more. Whale sharks occasionally visit the Kish Islands, although you have to be very lucky to see one! We discuss the marine life encountered on our dives during our thorough dive briefings and debriefings.

Big Coral:
This Hard coral reef is located at South East corner of Kish Island. Running parallel to the shore, Separated by a narrow sandy strip, and rising from 6-7m to 2m below the surface. Marine life in this beautiful reef are Large schools of snapper, goatfish, fusiliers and other tropical reef fishes and the Occasional Black tip reef sharks With lots of turtles, rays, Moray eels, and shoal fish. This site is Ideal for day and night shore dives as well as excellent place for U/W photography.

Jurassic park:
This Sea hole is just south east corner of Big Coral about 1000 meters offshore. Turtles, crabs, lobsters and Barracuda, rays and other fish in huge numbers are leaving there.
This site whit its Plenty of things to see is Ideal for day and night dives.

Oyster bank:
This mid-sea Oyster Bank is sitting on a shallow plateau about 5-10m deep just 5 minutes south of the island. Here you can find oysters as much as you like which are well worth a visit.

Southern Crack:
The southern crack is an offshore reef. The area is unprotected and the reef can only be reached in good weather. The current at the surface is usually from the East but below it can be from any direction. To the north the drop off is a forest of coral to the south the plateau slope gently away with small pinnacles of coral. The whole area swarms with fish of all types there are numerous giant morays encountered here, as well as the wale sharks and schooling reef fish as well as huge groupers and the occasional hammerhead in the early morning.
This site is almost a Deep dive site, 20-25 meters and located 30Minutes south of Kish.

Hendorabi Island:
This offshore Island is surrounded by reefs on all sides. The south east corner has a shallow plateau where the moorings are located this location is the most visited dive site. For first timers at Hendorabi Island the dive will take place from the plateau, moving eastwards to the drop off then north.
After a short swim against the current you reach three pinnacles close together, chimneys reach through the pinnacles toward the surface. After exploring this area you take advantage of the light current to drift back to the corner of the plateau where three small ergs are found, covered in glass fish. Finish the dive on the plateau exploring the numerous coral heads and reef fish. The plateau is home to Napoleons, Emperor Angels and free swimming Morays. The east and west side have awesome drift dives and the northern tip has a magnificent coral garden but is only accessible in very good weather.
